Ken Pickering Named President at Foster Corporation

PUTNAM, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Manufacturing executive Ken Pickering has been appointed President of Foster Corporation in Putnam, Connecticut. Since joining Foster in 2003, Pickering has held the post of VP Chief Operating Officer. Foster is a global resource serving leading medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers with critical polymer compounds.

The announcement of Pickering’s appointment was made by Larry Acquarulo, the international polymer expert and CEO at Foster.

”Ken’s tremendous leadership abilities in organizing our business, developing new products, expanding our customer base, and totally upgrading our physical plants, have been invaluable,” Acquarulo said. “We are very pleased to have him at the helm, now.”

In his long career, Ken Pickering was Director of Supply Chain and Manufacturing at Aprilis, Inc. and, for 25 years, a key manufacturing manager/director at the Polaroid Corporation. He is a cum laude graduate of Bridgewater State College (MA) with a BS in Chemistry, and a 4,0 high honors recipient of a MS in Management from Lesley University (MA). He is a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and Vistage (TEC) International, and is an official USSF Soccer referee.
