ICL Imaging Corp Acquires E.B. Luce

Combined Company Creates the Largest and Most Fully-Equipped Large Format Digital Printer in New England

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ICL Imaging Corp, a Framingham-based large format digital printer of color graphics and photographic images for creative marketing programs, today announced the acquisition of E.B. Luce Corp of Worcester, MA. The combination of two of the regions oldest commercial photo labs will create the largest, most fully-equipped large format digital printer in New England.

“Our vision has been to create a company that has the people, equipment and financial resources that it takes to provide the full range of visual products that today’s businesses require,” said Larry Capodilupo, President of ICL Imaging Corp. “This merger gives us the opportunity to expand our reach and better utilize our equipment resources.

The new business model for large format digital printers demands large annual capital expenditures to ensure that the newest technologies and the widest range of options are available to local business customers. The combined operations of the two companies will be located in the ICL’s 35,000 sq. foot Framingham facility.

“Since 1886, E.B. Luce has served the ever-changing imaging needs of photographers and businesses in the Worcester area. For the last 50 of these years ICL Imaging and E.B. Luce have competitively served thousands of area businesses,” said Larry MacDonald, President of E.B. Luce. “After careful consideration we decided that the long term interests of our customers and our employees are best served by joining our companies.”

“We feel confident that our three-shift operation, combined with our ability to print on a wide variety of surfaces – from paper to cloth to metal – will offer more choices to our expanded customer base,” said Larry Capodilupo III, Vice President ICL Imaging

If your employees are not strong advocates for what your company stands for, your company is in jeopardy of losing business.
