Woonsocket, RI (PRWEB) June 02, 2011
Duralectra-CHN (http://www.d-chn.com) will present its patent pending microcrystalline anodic coating, MICRALOX, at the Innovations Briefs Theater at MD&M East on June 7 in New York at 1:00 pm in conference room 767. The presentation will include a description of the microcrystalline anodic coating, science of the coating, and applications for medical equipment exposed to high pH cleaning and autoclave sterilization. There is an unsatisfied widespread need for new technology for aluminum instruments and equipment requiring routine exposure to high pH cleaning and autoclave sterilization due to the limited chemical stability of traditional anodic coatings that result in short onset discoloration and corrosion. DCHN will introduce a new category of anodic coatings that are derived from a patented conversion process that takes an amorphous oxide and converts it into highly stable, partially microcrystalline structures without otherwise changing the anodic coating specifications. Microcrystalline anodic coatings provide exceptional infield performance that extend the life of aluminum instruments and equipment and are RoHS and Cytotox compliant. The intended audience that will be represented at MD&M are manufacturers and users of medical instruments and equipment made from aluminum that require the aluminum finish to perform in challenging cleaning and sterilization conditions.
The presentation will be given by Timothy P. Cabot, President, of Duralectra-CHN, LLC.Tim Cabot has worked around the world commercializing innovative chemical and material solutions for over 15 years before joining D-CHN in 2006. Tim will be joined by David Dibiasio, Sales & Marketing Manager. David joined D-CHN in 2008 and is in charge of all commercial and marketing activities within the company. After more than 20 years in the metrology and measurement field and now nearly 3 years at D-CHN, Dave is well known across the broader industry where he has a strong reputation for successfully building strong and enduring customer relationships.
